About the Conference
Every year at Northwest Indiana Community Action, we learn the stories of more than 50,000 people and we understand the impact that toxic stress has on their lives and on our communities. In order to reimagine our work, we need to understand the impact of toxic stress on individuals and neighborhoods.
Our theme this year was “Healing Our Future”. The theme reminds us that simple acts today, like helping a co-worker make positive choices or responding differently to our client’s behaviors, can lead to stronger healthier communities tomorrow.
This year’s event was carefully crafted to help you connect with leading experts in the field of toxic stress, trauma, and Adverse Childhood Experiences (or ACEs). The Reimagine Conference offers two days of sessions exploring the latest research. Speakers, expert panels, and experiential workshops will pathways to recovery and provide a wide range of resources, information, and networking opportunities to strengthen your trauma tool-kit.
Who Should Attend?
The Reimagine Conference is designed with Mental Health professionals, Public/Community Service, Educators, Community Development Professionals, Business, and Community Leaders in mind.
