On January 24th, 2024, volunteers across Northwest Indiana will come together to count the number of people experiencing homelessness in our communities. The Point in Time (PIT) Count provides a snapshot of homelessness in our cities and counties. Northwest Indiana depends on an accurate PIT Count to receive adequate funding to ensure proper allocation of resources to address homelessness.
Our volunteers drive the success of our PIT Count. We depend on your help to capture our communities needs and make sure every one of our neighbors’ experiencing homelessness is counted.
What Does it Mean to Become a Volunteer?
Being a volunteer for the PIT Count is a unique opportunity to actively engage with and serve our community. It is a chance to show compassion, make a positive impact, and contribute to the well-being of those who are less fortunate. No special skills are required – just your willingness to lend a helping hand and make a difference.
